Makes extra special hamburgers

2 cups sourdough starter
1 pkg. Dry yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
2 cups cottage cheese
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons dry onion-soup mix
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
5 to 6 cups all purpose flour

Measure out sourdough starter into a large mixing bowl.  Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.  Add to sourdough starter.  Heat cottage cheese in a saucepan until warm.  Add salt, onion soup mix, eggs, sugar, baking soda and mustard.  Add to sourdough mixture.  Gradually add enough flour to make a soft dough.  Place in a greased bowl, turning once.  Cover with a cloth.  Set in warm place free from drafts and let rise for 1 to 2 hours or until doubled in size.  Punch down.  Divide into 18 pieces and shape into balls.  Place about 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.  Flatten slightly.

Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown

Makes 18 Buns
