Sour Dough Banana Bran Muffins

2 Tablespoons Shortening
1/4 cup Sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 cup Starter
2 cups crushed ALL-Bran
2 Ripe Bananas
1/4 teaspoon Salt

Cream together shortening and sugar.  Add egg and beat mixture until  light and fluffy.  Stir in soda into starter and add to creamed mixture.  Fold ALL-Bran into batter with mashed bananas and salt.  Fill buttered muffin tins 2/3 full and bake at 375 for 25 minutes.

Makes 12 muffins.
